DesignStudio 1.2 Differences between “Execute Locally“ & “Execute on BI Platform“

Hello experts from SCN,

this is my first post here, i`m very new in BI (8 months), did my sap Netweaver 7.0 Certification in

december 2013 and being very interested in BO4.1 and DesignStudio 1.2.

I already did some DS-applications but have now some problems.

There are differences between the “Execute Locally“ & “Execute on BI Platform“.

The Browser is IE10, and the BO Version is

SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence 4.1 Support Pack 2
Version: 14.1.2.1121

Design Studio Startup Mode always is “BI Platform”

Connected Systems SAP BW / SAP HANA

The “Execute Locally” works fine, I see everything how it is set in the DS-Application-Editor.

But on the BI-Plattform, where I need it right, there are some differences.

It only affects the charts, other components are ok.

First problem:

If the members are numbers (in this case Releases), it´s not shown correctly.

After the “.” the information is gone.

Only the chart type “Column - 100% Stacked” shows it right.

2cend problem:

Resizing of all components (within Grids/ without Grids) works fine on local and BI-Platform execute, but not the charts.

The components (also grids) which I want to resize are set like this:

If I change the browser size in “Locally Execute” all behavior is like I want, the components with “auto Width” & “auto Height” will automatically resize.

But on “Execute on BI Platform” the resizing of the charts does not follow if I change the browser size. As you can see here the crosstab resizing works ok, also on iPad when I turn it to 90degrees but not the charts.

But only when I do a onclick-action (example: change Page)  the charts will resize after this.

Third problem:

Measures in stacked Charts will be sorted in other direction.

This I how it looks like in the DS-Editor and “Execute Locally”

and this is what I get on “Execute on BI Platform”; BI-Launchpad, iPad

I already have read this blog….

http://scn.sap.com/community/businessobjects-design-studio/blog/2013/09

and got some very useful information from Tammy Powlas about the execute modes.

I think the problems can be inside the Web Server,Web App Server/DS Java Runtime/BW HANA Adapters.

But i have no knowledge about the server-Settings and where i can find them.

I hope someone can help me to fix these problems.

Regards,

Andre
