chart with different select events

Hello experts,

i´m starting to build analyses with design studio and have a question to the on select method.

Is it possible to distinguish where someone is clicking?

For example you have a chart from type column and you want to use different actions by clicking:

- in legend

- or values on the x-axis?

I hope you can help me.
