We are very happy with the changes to DS implemented in version 1.6.
Still two big problems occured, which are not really googleable.
1. When trying to execute the installation file for DS 1.6 on one of our servers we continously get an error "SAP Self Extractor has stopped working", which makes entering the installation program impossible. The file-extraction will work perfectly on other systems, just that one seems to have this problem.
InstallCache is OK as well as BI platform 4.0 installed and DS1.5 uninstalled.
Some ideas, how to troubleshoot?
2. On another system, where DS1.6 is correctly installed we are facing a problem concerning an extremely long loading time for the method getMembers(). The overall loading time is 12 seconds of which 6 are produced by executing getMembers() for 12 different datasources (so approx. 0.5 sec per ds.getMembers() )
Is there any way to reduce that loading time?
