Error "Could not initiate connection. Check the Web Service URL" when using BI Platform connection

Dear all,

we have two client computers running Design Studio 1.2

When I use the first one to logon to Design Studio via BI Platform connection startup mode, everything works fine: As soon as I enter the Web Service URL, the URL is validated and I am able to select the Authentication method and I can logon.

Unfortunately on the second computer (using exactly the same URL) I only get the error:

"Could not initiate connection. Check the Web Service URL."

As it seems to be a client issue, I already tried to uninstall and reinstall DS on the second computer, but with no success - the error still exists.

Any ideas?
