I was wondering if I could develop an extension thanks to the SDK that would enable to integrate a dashboard into another dashboard.
Among the available components (chart, cross tab, buttons, ...), I'd then have the component called 'dashboard'.
This new component main parameter would be the path and name of the app, stored locally or in the repository, that it has to display. Its datasource and properties would be manageable from the hosting dashboard.
This way, I could for example develop a sub-dashboard (one chart, or bigger) and use it in many different composite dashboards. The big advantage would be to factorize developments : updates would be centralized in the sub dashboard and automatically populated to the dashboards using it.
Do you think it's possible?
There might be many solutions to reach this target.
One of them would be to develop a simple web page component, its parameter being the URL of the app to show and control (thanks to open document method)...
