Map local dashboard to BI platform using OLAP connection

Hi,

I created a dashboard in Design Studio locally which includes 3 BW queries as data sources and during importing I mapped it to an OLAP connection (Sales multi cube) that I can save it to the BI platform.

Then I was able to publish it using the BI Launch pad.

The question is:

Should we create an OLAP connection for each query in Central Management Console?

I could map the local dashboard to BI platform using one OLAP multi-cube connection because all these 3 BW queries were on the same multi-cube. What if I use queries based on different cubes?

And if I create a dashboard directly on the BI platform I cannot use a Sales Multi cube as a connection because I cannot see all the queries inside.

How do you map your local dashboards?

Any suggestions, best practices?

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Deniz
