How does quantity of scripting and file size impact Design Studio performance?

Hi all,

I am building a pretty complex Design Studio application with 6 data sources at the moment. What makes it complex is based on the values, the color of the font and the color/direction of the arrow is changing. Each of the values comes from a different query, so I can't do this in a crosstab (unless someone knows a way to combine 3 queries into one crosstab). I am using these tiles all throughout the 4 pages of this application, so the amount of IF/ELSE logic really adds up. See sample below:

What I am worried about is how the hundreds of lines of IF statements will impact dashboard performance. Right now I am connected to the Development system which barely has any data and performance is already slow. It takes awhile to load the initial view of the application, though once it displays everything runs very fast. Is there a set number of lines of code or total file size we should try to stay under, or does Design Studio not have any performance issues based on code and file size? In Xcelsius the logic and file size had a huge impact on performance, so I want to see how it works in Design Studio.

Any advice will be a great help!

Thanks,

John Cintolo
